One of the largest structures on the Realejo hill, the so-called 'Carmen Blanco' hosts the Rodríquez-Acosta foundation in a building designed and built by the Granada-born modernist artist, José María Rodriquez-Acosta in 1914. It's an unusual and whimsical place (with incredible gardens) that borrows from all number of architectural genres including art deco, Nasrid, Greek and baroque. The guided tour includes a walk through the house's subterranean tunnels, and entry to a well-curated museum containing original works by Pacheco, Cano and Zurbarán.
Pay an extra €1 and the tour is extended to the library, considered to be the house's finest room, replete with rare items collected during Rodríguez-Acosta's world travels, particularly in Asia.
