This indoor-outdoor aquarium is located in Valencia’s City of Arts & Sciences. There are polar zones, a Red Sea aquarium, a Mediterranean seascape and a couple of underwater tunnels, one 70m long. Note the aquarium also keeps captive dolphins. This may seem harmless but the practice is becoming increasingly controversial, as animal welfare groups suggest interaction with dolphins and other sea mammals held in captivity creates stress for these creatures. Opening hours here are approximate; check the website by date. It opens later on Saturday.
