Moguer has its own charming flavour of Andalucian baroque, and its sunny beauty was fulsomely expressed by local poet laureate Juan Ramón Jiménez (1881–1958), who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1956. The Casa Museo Zenobia y Juan Ramón Jiménez, the old home of the poet and his writer wife, is open for both guided and independent visits.
