This grand staircase that connects the Paseo del Óvalo to the train station is a masterpiece of neo-Mudéjar monumental architecture. First built in 1920, it was painstakingly restored in the early 21st century. Along with the redesigned Paseo del Óvalo, La Escalinata has won numerous awards for urban redesign. There's a lift back up to the Paseo.
