At the end of the Palacios Nazaríes itinerary, you emerge into an area of terraced gardens created in the early 20th century. The famous reflecting pool in front of the small Palacio del Partal with the Albayzin glimmering in the background is the oldest surviving palace in the Alhambra, from the time of Mohammed III (r 1302–09).
