Malaga Cruise Port

How to get to Malaga

Cruise ships dock at the cruise terminals – A and B – in the eastern section of the Port of Malaga. From the port, it’s about a mile (1.6 km) to get to the edge of the city center; there is a public bus that can take you to the Paseo Parque, and from there you can walk up to the Cathedral of Malaga and other historical attractions.

One Day in Malaga

Malaga’s greatest hits – the 16th-century cathedral, the Alcazaba (a Moorish fort), the Roman Theatre and the Picasso Museum (Museo Picasso) – are all within a few minutes’ walk of each other. Spend the first part of your day soaking up the history at these popular attractions, and then reward yourself with Andalusia’s other claim to fame – food, of course.

Wander around the city center, stopping to indulge in whatever peaks your interests, from grilled and deep-fried fish to savory ham to refreshing gazpacho (cold soup). Then top it all off with a pitcher of fruity sangria at a local tapas bar.
