One of Stockholm’s more unusual attractions, Skogskyrkogården (the Woodland Cemetery) is an arrestingly beautiful graveyard set in soothing pine woodland. Designed by the great Erik Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz, it’s on the Unesco World Heritage list and famed for its functionalist buildings. Famous residents include Stockholm screen goddess Greta Garbo. A visitor guide is available on the website in several languages. Guided tours (Skr100) in English are available at 10.30am Sunday July to September.
