This elk farm, 70km west of Umeå along Rte 92, near Bjurholm, is your chance to meet the (tame) King of the Forest face to face. There's a museum dedicated to all things elk, and even a small dairy where the ultra-rare elk cheese is produced; at Skr3000 per kilogram, this is the most expensive cheese you’ll ever taste. Don’t forget to pick up bananas beforehand, as elks love them.
