Varberg has three nudist beaches just a short walk south from the fortress along the Strandpromenaden. Don't expect white sand; these beaches all consist of large, smooth rocks, all with easy access to the water. Beaches are segregated by gender: the first two, Kärringhålan and Skarpe Nord, are women-only beaches; a few minutes further south is Goda Hopp, the men's bathing spot.
