This compact site is one of the most romantic on the Mediterranean coast. Dating from the 2nd century BC, a half-dozen columns from the Temple of Athena have been placed upright in their original spots, and after dark a spotlight dramatically outlines their form.
The site was cordoned off due to restoration work when we last came through town but work should hopefully be finished by the time you visit.
