Constitution Hill rises from the northern end of the seafront Promenade and on a clear day your can see the Llyn Peninsula from its blustery top. Also on the hilltop is a rebuilt relic of the Victorian era, a camera obscura (£1) - the world's largest - that allows you to spy on the hills, bays and people of Aberystwyth through cunning use of mirrors and lenses. If your, ahem, constitution is not up to taking the winding path up the hill, the 1896 cliff railway can carry you up. Very, very slowly.
