Signposted just north of town, five miles of winding country lanes lead you to the tiny, whitewashed Mwnt church that overlooks Cardigan Bay from its lofty setting. It's the oldest church in the region, dating back to the thirteenth century, and Mwnt was the site of a failed invasion by the Flemings in 1155, with a swift and brutal defeat by the Welsh.
