Penarth

A popular beach resort since Victorian times, Penarth’s close proximity to Cardiff makes it an obvious choose for escaping the capital and the pretty coastal town is a tranquil alternative to the big city.
Penarth’s scenic pier, soaring coastal cliffs and pebble beaches are tourist magnets during the summer months, but the town’s main highlight is its modern marina. The busy marina makes up part of the recently built barrage, which stretches out across Cardiff Bay, forming a 500-acre freshwater lake along the seafront.
