Recently renovated, this fascinating museum is a wonderful little place covered wall-to-wall in handmade Kurdish carpets. The exhibition also includes beautiful Kurdish hats from different tribes, traditional clothes and even kitchen utensils. Each item has a Kurdish and English description and most of the staff, including the owner, speak English. Take a tea break on the top floor, where you will find a cosy cafe. The museum is on the eastern side of the South Gate, just off the main road.
