Located on the 'seam' (border) between East and West Jerusalem, this gallery presents contemporary-art exhibitions that are challenging, controversial and satisfying in equal measure. The building itself served as a forward military position for the Israeli army from 1948 to 1967 and still bears the scars of war. Exhibitions change every six months, showcase work from regional artists and focus on issues of global conflict, prejudice, racism and human rights.
There is a pleasant rooftop cafe where you can enjoy a coffee, and a downstairs gift shop. Note that some of the work shown here may not be suitable for small children.
