Flanked by fast-food joints and upmarket jewellery stores, Hurva Sq is an attractive open space in the middle of the Jewish Quarter that is inevitably full of local families, tourists and groups of young adults on free 'heritage trips' to Israel. The reconstructed Hurva Synagogue stands on the western side of the square and can be visited on a pre-booked tour.
