Not to be confused with the distinctive Kuwait Towers, Liberation Tower in the city centre is the tallest building in the city, and at a height of 372m claims to be the fifth-tallest communications tower in the world. Started before the invasion, the tower took its new name when it was completed in 1993. Sadly, the viewing platform has not been open to the public for years, so you'll most likely have to enjoy it from ground level.
