This private museum, opened in January 2014, is set in a traditional home in the Shindagha Historic District pays homage to Dubai's history as a trading link between East and West. On display are hundreds of historic maps, manuscripts, weapons, ceramics, coins and other artefacts from the cultures and civilisations that passed through the region. Highlights include a 7500-year-old bull-shaped Ubaid vase, ancient Greek silver coins and Roman glass vessels.
