This local-history museum occupies a 19th-century fort that was the residence of the Qawassim rulers until 1964. Behind ornate wooden doors awaits the usual ethnological assortment as well as artefacts from archaelogical digs in the area, including at Julfar, an important port between the 14th and 17th centuries.
