A wide forest of ironwoods hides a broad sandy beach with little development in sight. This 75-acre county park has Waimanalo Bay’s biggest waves and is popular with board surfers and bodyboarders. Even if you’re not planning to hit the water, just take a walk along the cream-colored sand and try to imagine the feeling of old Hawaii. Countless weddings take place on this enchanting beach. There are lifeguards, campsites and restrooms. Entrance is opposite the Honolulu Polo Club.
