This excellent interpretive center is the nation's foremost memorial to the pioneers who crossed the West along the Oregon Trail. Lying atop a hill 7 miles east of Baker City, it contains interactive displays, artifacts and films that stress the day-to-day realities of the pioneers. Outside you can stroll along the 4.2-mile interpretive path system and spot the actual Oregon Trail.
