One of the Seattle area’s most worthwhile outlying sights is the Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour in the city of Everett, 25 miles north of Seattle. Serving as a good complement to Georgetown’s Museum of Flight , the center, aside from its museum, offers something different: a tour of the real working Boeing factory where the famous airplanes are made. The huge complex is the world’s most voluminous building, meaning that the 90-minute tours involve plenty of traveling around, some of it by bus. Getting to the center without a car can be a pain, but you can save time by partaking in an organized tour with Tours Northwest , which picks up from downtown hotels. It charges $65/49 per adult/child, including admission. No cameras are allowed.
