This small museum hosts a wide of range of thought-provoking installations that explore social and political issues facing people of the African Diaspora. Photography, sculpture, sound, and multimedia works are all part of the rotation of temporary exhibitions. The museum also hosts performance pieces, music nights, artist talks and discussions. Don't miss the shop onsite with a range of one-of-a-kind art, jewelry, apparel and home decor by contemporary designers.
In 2018, the museum will move to roomier digs (tripling its exhibition space in fact) in a new building going up a few blocks away at Lafayette and Flatbush.
