Elvis was here. Formerly the Las Vegas Hilton – and before that, the International Hotel – this classy casino-resort opened in 1969 and quickly became famous when the King made his big comeback on the hotel's stage in the late 1960s and into the early '70s, booking more than 700 sold-out shows. Various gambling scenes (and a memorable scene of the resort's famous Benihana Village restaurant) in the 1993 movie Indecent Proposal, starring Robert Redford and Demi Moore, were filmed here, too. The casino isn't just known as the site of Hollywood films: its race and sports book is the largest in the world.
