North of Naʻalehu, this small beach park has tide pools to explore, a fishpond frequented by birds, and the ruins of an old pier. Despite its name, there's no beach and the ocean is usually too rough for swimming, but hawksbill sea turtles can often be spotted. Facilities include restrooms, outdoor showers and picnic pavilions (no drinking water). Camping on the grass requires an advance county permit, but proximity to the highway means little privacy.
The turnoff to the park is between mile markers 60 and 61 on Hwy 11.
