The RW Meyer Sugar Mill, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is the last of its kind. A lot of time and money has gone into authentic restorations, including the rebuilding of a 100-year-old steam engine, a mule-powered cane crusher, and other rusting machinery abandoned a century ago.
The museum, beside the parking lot, contains a small display of Moloka'i's history with period photos, a few Hawaiiana items and a 10-minute video. Meyer and his descendants are buried in a little family plot out back.
