Back up on the Hana Hwy, the stream that feeds Keʻanae Peninsula pauses to create a couple of swimming holes just below the bridge, 0.9 miles after the 16-mile marker. You won’t see anything driving by, but there’s a good-sized pull-off immediately before the bridge where you can park. Just walk over to the bridge and behold: a deep crystal-clear pool and a little waterfall. You’ll often see locals swimming here, but note the ‘No Trespassing’ signs. Enjoy the sight, but take your dip elsewhere.
