This building is a 1930 art-deco gem. Inside, manic traders swap futures and options – a mysterious process that has something to do with corn. Or maybe it's wheat. From outside gaze up at the giant statue of Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture, that tops the building. You can walk around the public areas, but security is tight beyond that.
The only way to see the trading floor in action is via the Chicago Architecture Foundation's occasional tours ($10).
