Between downtown and Old Bennington, this museum's outstanding collection of early Americana includes furniture, glassware, Bennington pottery, Colonial paintings, dolls, military memorabilia and the world's oldest surviving American Revolutionary flag. There's also a noteworthy collection of works by 'Grandma Moses' (1860–1961). Perhaps the country's most famous folk artist, she's known for her lively, natural depictions of farm life that she painted between ages 70 and 100.
