Note that the 1912 suspension bridge, built over a deep canyon between Front St and Brant St, wriggles beneath your feet. But don’t worry; it was designed that way. The nearby Quince Street Bridge , between 4th Ave and 3rd Ave, is a wood-trestle structure built in 1905 and refurbished in 1988 after community activists vigorously protested its slated demolition.
