With fine sand and a natural setting backed by ironwood trees in places, this is a great beach. The only problem is that the park is only open to civilians on weekends (and national holidays) because it fronts Bellows Air Force Station. The small shorebreak waves are good for beginning bodyboarders and board surfers. Lifeguards, showers, restrooms, drinking water and camping are all available onsite. The park entrance is just north of Waimanalo Bay Beach Park.
