Five miles north of Santa Fe, the grassy sculpture garden at Shidoni is a great place for a picnic, or for kids to run around the funky artwork. There's also an indoor gallery and a glass-blowing studio. Take a self-guided foundry tour (noon to 1pm Monday to Friday; $3), or come on Saturday to watch 2000°F molten bronze being poured into ceramic shell molds, in the complex, age-old casting technique (call for schedule; $5).
