The only prison ever to hold Butch Cassidy – he was in for grand larceny from 1894 to '96 and emerged to become one of history's greatest robbers – the Wyoming Territorial Prison operated until 1903, holding about a thousand 'malicious and desperate outlaws.' While inside, convicts produced over 700 brooms a day. The restored prison is surrounded by other historical buildings of the era; guided tours at 11am and 2pm are included.
