The Phippen, located 7 miles north of Prescott en route to Jerome, is named after cowboy artist George Phippen. The museum hosts changing exhibits of celebrated Western artists, along with contemporary art depicting the American West. The exhibits are typically quite engaging. On Memorial Day weekend the museum hosts the Western Art Show & Sale at Courthouse Plaza, which features more than 100 artists.
