This museum does an excellent job of showcasing African-American artists, such as the great John T Scott, whose woodblock prints are full of expression and shadow. There’s an old bill of sale from the slavery days, photos of Tom Bradley and Ella Fitzgerald, and you'll learn that blacks made up over half the population of the original pueblo.
