Meeting the more than 100,000 gannets on green Île Bonaventure is an active antidote to gorging on Percé's tempting fish platters. Head toward the dock in Percé and you'll come across the tour operators' booths and touts selling tickets for cruises to the island. All of the boats circle Rocher Percé, get up close to the gannets on the side of the island, and then pull into the dock on Île Bonaventure's west side. You can disembark here and go for a hike, or stay on board for the return journey to Percé. If you choose to linger, note that you'll have to pay a national park entrance fee upon disembarkation.
