Sunshine Village
With snow cover lasting from November to May, the Sunshine Village is one of Canada’s best ski destinations and a popular choice for a spring ski break, with ample piste for all ability levels. Perched at 2,195 meters, high up on the Continental Divide of the Canadian Rockies, the Sunshine Village has access to more than 3,300 acres of snow-blanketed landscapes, spread across 3 peaks (Mount Standish, Lookout Mountain and Goat's Eye Mountain) in the Banff National Park.
With an average annual snowfall of more than 9-meters, there’s no shortage of powder for skiers and snowboarders, and the resort has more than 145 runs ranging from gentle beginner slopes to hair-raising black diamond runs. There’s also 12 high-speed chairlifts, including an 8-passenger gondola, the 8-acre Rogers Terrain Park, with a range of boxes, rails and jumps, and access to legendary off-piste routes like the aptly nicknamed ‘Delirium Dive’ or ‘Wild West’.
