Yonge-Dundas Square

Nicknamed the Times Square of Toronto, Yonge-Dundas Square is one of the city’s main landmarks and one of the busiest intersections in Canada, with over 56 million people passing through every year.
In summer, there’s always something going on, from free concerts and films to music performances and art displays. There’s also free wi-fi across the square, and from around mid-April to the end of October there are water fountains to splash around in.
Illuminated day and night by huge advertising displays on the surrounding buildings, Yonge-Dundas Square is situated at the southeast corner of the Yonge Street and Dundas Street East intersection, and it’s surrounded by some of Toronto’s most famous buildings including the Eaton Centre, the Ed Mirvish Theatre, and Citytv building. Yonge-Dundas is also the place to hang out during the Toronto International Film Festival, Pride Week, NXNE, Luminato, and Nuit blanche.

To reach Yonge-Dundas Square, take the Yonge-University-Spadina line on the subway to Dundas station.
