I've heard so much about this little shop/cafe and I'm so happy I finally paid a visit. On its website, it said that Harvest Community Foods had a vote to decide the use of this space, and the market won out.
Chef Andrea Carlson runs Harvest and she also owns Burdock and Co, a restaurant in Mount Pleasant. At Harvest, they serve a handful of items on the menu like ramen and udon and in the shop they sell locally made artisan foods like Earnest Ice Cream, Nasmasthe teas, To Die For baked goods, coffee by Elysian, and other bests of the city.
They also organize their own CSA or community supported agriculture boxes which are selected by Chef Andrea. You're obviously getting the best possibly box because a chef is picking out the contents.
When I visited, I had the pork shoulder ramen which was light but flavorful. It isn't like a typical pork broth ramen that I'm used that is rich and creamy. I also had a Elysian coffee made via an Aeropress. I wish this was in my neighborhood. I'd be here daily if it was!
