The more I travel, the more I take photos. I wouldn't call myself a photographer but a hobbyist at best. I also love taking local tours in a city when I travel and when I was researching some tours in Vancouver, I came across Vancouver Photowalks. It's not your typical tour company where a guide shows you around the city or takes you to eat at the best food carts around town. Suzanne or one of her guides takes you to a particular area and works with you to improve your photography skills while taking photos at the same time. Some of the tours take you through popular sites like Chinatown, Gastown, Olympic Village, and Canada Place. She even has a class for those looking to improve their shooting skills with their iPhones. I took one of her night time Gastown workshops. I had been wanting to improve my long exposure and night photography skills so I chose the Gastown workshop. It was a fun class and I'm looking forward to taking more workshops the next time I am in Vancouver. The photos I took from this course are some of the best souvenirs from my last trip (photo above).
