Queen Elizabeth Park is often the forgotten park in Vancouver. Most locals will recommend Stanley Park as the park to go to for visitors. When I was growing up, my parents would take visiting friends to Queen Elizabeth Park. That may have been due to my mother's love of flowers. It is known as Vancouver's horticultural jewel, which draws flower enthusiasts and is often a backdrop for wedding photos.
It's the highest point in Vancouver at 152 meters above sea level, making for amazing views of the park, city, and mountains to the north. The park is also home to Bloedel Conservatory, a quarry garden, an arboretum, sculptures, as well as tennis courts, lawn bowling, and pitch and putt. Seasons In The Park, a fine dining establishment, is also located in the park, or you can set up a picnic (which is what I used to do with my family in the summer time).
