Every time I travel to a new destination, I am always on the hunt for the best local ice cream. This however is gelato from one of Vancouver's best, Chocolaterie de la Nouvelle France. The place is actually know for its incredible selection of chocolates, but on this hot day I just wanted something cooler. The flavors are simple, but there is a great selection of toppings such as salted caramel, lavender, and chocolate of course.
However, If you want locally made ice cream you should check out Rain or Shine located in Kitsilano. They make waffle cones to order and there are plenty of flavors such as blueberry balsamic and London Fog.
