This ceremonial site, 500m up the uphill street beside the central plaza among trees on the left of the road, consists of a few grassy mounds and two crosses with indications of contemporary Maya offerings. The more recently installed cross commemorates the incidents of August 1982, when the army executed hundreds of alleged guerrilla collaborators, then torched many homes.
