Three blocks west of Parque Revolución is the Paraninfo , one of the main buildings of the Universidad de Guadalajara. Inside, the stage backdrop and dome feature large, powerful murals by Orozco. In the back of the same building is the excellent Museo de las Artes , which houses well-curated temporary exhibitions focusing on contemporary Mexican art.
At the time of research the whole complex was closed for major renovations. It should reopen during the lifetime of this book.
