Facing the leafy expanse of Plaza de Armas, the Palacio de Justicia was built between 1682 and 1695 to serve as the city hall. Its facade blends French and baroque styles, with stairwell art in the courtyard. An Agustín Cárdenas mural portrays Morelos in action. The on-site museum has revolving exhibitions; a detailed exposé of Mexico's Himno Nacional (national anthem) was showing at our last visit.
