One block east of the southeast corner of Plaza de las Américas in Zapopan, MAZ is dedicated to modern art. Four sleek minimalist galleries hold temporary exhibits, which have included works by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo as well as leading contemporary Mexican artists. Many of the exhibits are interactive and the museum acts as a nexus for numerous cultural activities.
