Museum of Modern Art
A treasure of Mexico City, the Museum of Modern Art sits in Chapultepec Park. Known for housing great examples of 20th-century art and photography, as well as exhibits that blend ancient and modern traditions, the museum is impressive by any standard. Just walking up to the front of the building, you’ll notice the fine sculpture work in the manicured gardens.
Fans of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera will appreciate the site’s Las do Fridas, perhaps Frida Kahlo’s most famous work, while fans of Diego Rivera will enjoy the open-aired murals on display. First opened in 1964, the Museum of Modern Art has become a staple in museum-rich Mexico City.
