Rancho Nuevo Caves
Discovered in 1960, Rancho Nuevo Caves is home to massive limestone stalagmites and stalactites, which travelers can wander through using the 2,475-foot walkway that winds through these caves. Visitors say Rancho Nuevo is absolutely beautiful, and the surrounding park lends a real mountain feel to this destination.
Interested travelers can rent horses and ride through towering pine forests. Quiet picnic areas and tasty food stalls selling spicy chorizo, giant quesadillas and other local fare make this the perfect spot to spend a relaxing afternoon outside of the city.

The caves are located a short taxi ride from town and travelers can access them daily from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. It costs $1 to park and about $2 per person to enter with a hard hat.
