This striking 152m-high volcanic rock formation can be seen for many kilometres around Stanley. It’s a steep 20-minute climb to the top – worth it for the views – or take the chairlift . The best lookout is a five-minute walk to the south of the chairlift, and you can also take a 35-minute walk (2km) on a path around the top.
In summer, watch for short-tailed shearwaters (mutton birds) returning to their burrows at dusk after a day’s foraging at sea.
