On the western side of Lake Barrington, just north of the village of Wilmot, is this winery-distillery. At Wilmot Hills Vineyard you can try a fine pinot noir, the ‘Highland White’ (a müller-thurgau and gewürztraminer blend) and apple cider. But there’s also a delicious range of spirits distilled here – calvados, kirsch, raspberry schnapps, grappa and basilica – and you get to peek in at the winemaking and distilling operations.
